We pride ourselves in working with our couples to create the perfect atmosphere for any part of their day, and having been long established in the industry we are widely regarded and recommended by many venue and events coordinators as specialists in providing music for such important life occasions. The versatility of a string quartet has endless possibilities to accent a particular theme or mood and we can include particular music at key points during the day. Whether it be Classical music for a ceremony, contemporary pop covers for a drinks reception in the grounds of your venue, film and theatre favourites during your wedding breakfast or your special song for a romantic first dance, let us put together the music you envisage.
Bespoke music for weddings is increasingly popular and as creative musicians we offer an arrangement service to ensure we can perform your favourite music if it isn't already part of our extensive repertoire. We welcome your enquiry as we relish the opportunity to work with you to create something memorable for you and your guests.
Each wedding or civil partnership we contribute to is as unique as the couple we are playing for and we love the individuality and variety this brings - being chosen to be part of such an important day is a privilege. Music can enhance any part of your occasion, and whilst we are most often booked for around three hours to perform during the ceremony and drinks reception, below are some of the different ways we can be part of proceedings with you.
Ceremonies & Blessings
We always begin with music to welcome guests as they take their seats and to set the ambience to your ceremony, before we play for the key moments of the processional, signing of the register and recessional. We can also accompany any hymns you may be having during a religious or church ceremony, as an alternative to a church organist, or perform items as musical interludes during a service, or to complement a reading.
Drinks Receptions
Music whilst couples celebrate their first moments as newlyweds with their family and friends. We are always happy to perform indoors or outdoors, weather permitting, at your venue. Often guests sing along to your chosen music and come and make requests, which we're always happy to fulfil if we have the music with us!
Wedding Breakfasts
Music to accompany dinner. Often couples ask us to perform music which enhances a particular mood they'd like to create and to reflect their personalities and family traditions. Music goes down so well during dinner, and it's not uncommon for guests to give a round of applause if they've heard something they've particularly enjoyed! As we are an acoustic ensemble, we can easily and sensitively adjust our levels to suit the size of the wedding party and nature of the venue and space we are playing in.
First Dances
It's always especially wonderful to play for a first dance - your song arranged and performed with the beautiful sound of acoustic strings is always a romantic gesture. First dances don't always have to be after dinner, and we have often performed for these during the drinks reception.
Evening Entertainment
We have provided entertainment during the evening on many wedding days, most usually for smaller, intimate gatherings when a band or DJ isn't what the couple have in mind. Beautiful, natural string music whilst guests enjoy conversation and celebration can be the culmination to a perfect day, and our extensive repertoire ensures there is something for everyone.
